about

The first single off the new The_Outcircuit album due December 7th.

Nathan Burke has been making music for over 30 years. Most notably, he was a bassist for post-hardcore band Frodus from 1997 to 1999. The band was best known for their mixture of math rock and hardcore punk, plus their dark and dissonant lyrical themes. In 2000, following the breakup of the band, Burke formed The Out Circuit. Burke released an album in 2003, “Burn Your Scripts, Boys,” and another in 2008, “Pierce the Empire with a Sound.” The latter was mixed by Teppei Teranishi of Thrice and featured guest vocals from Sean Ingram of Coalesce and Dustin Kensrue of Thrice.

Burke returns to the scene with “Enter the Ghost,”(out December 7th on Vinyl and Digital) a post-punk ambient album that feels as much like poetry as it does music. While the album defies genre, Burke’s influences are clear: visits to Tokyo, where there is adventure in any possible direction; the curious and confrontational nature of beauty; and the way wandering can remake a person.
